Entombment

Either the remains will be buried in the earth (an earth burial), or they will be buried in a mausoleum crypt (above-ground entombment). Family or religious traditions frequently influence the choice of burial. There are choices to be made regarding the disposition of the body, the type of casket used, the cemetery to be used, and the inscription to go on the gravestone or crypt plate.
